Dad is Fat

I've been a Jim Gaffigan fan since I saw his stand up special on Comedy Central in the early 2000's. I really appreciate his clean comedy act and never feel bored while listening/ watching/ reading him. I listened to this book, which was read by Gaffigan himself, and it felt like a five hour stand up routine. Each chapter or section was broken up into a short essay about parenting and each had their own lesson to be learned. I am not a parent myself and hearing how Jim and his wife Jeannie can raise 5 kids in a New York City apartment makes me feel like I can do anything. I don't know if I would have enjoyed it as much if I hadn't listen to it. If you have read the book, do yourself a favor and listened to it. It's a perfect combination of hilarious parenting tales and comedic timing.

I give Dad is Fat by Jim Gaffigan 5 out of 5 Burning Lariats.
